Two people displayed a banner at the top of the Empire State Building in New York City that appeared to say, “When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace". It was not immediately clear how the two managed to climb all the way to the top of the radio and television transmission tower.

The two were atop the 1,454 ft (443 m) building for at least ten minutes and displayed a large banner before climbing down.
