A strong 7.1 magnitude earthquake was reported near the coast of Venezuela on Wednesday evening, rattling buildings in the capital and triggering a tsunami warning.
There were reports of damage and injuries in Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, according to authorities.
The epicenter of the quake was located in Montalban,Venezuela, about 130 miles east of the capital, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
